GetFugu May Be One To Watch

Does GetFugu ® Have the Potential?
Some of you have heard of it, some used it, and many others are yet to play with it. Either way, we think this company / stock GFGU has the potential to gain sizably in the near future.
If you know anything about us, we look at products, companies and stocks differently than most. We use common sense and base our picks on the “does this make sense” theory. We put ourselves in the consumers’ and companies’ shoes that are prospective clients of the GetFugu ®. We also try and have a broad vision of possible partnerships and marketing avenues. This one just smells of a big partner in the near future.First let’s understand what this product / technology is and how it uses AR and VR technology.
For the techie in you…
Augmented reality (AR) is a term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are merged with (or augmented by) virtual computer-generated imagery – creating a mixed reality. The augmentation is conventionally in real-time and in semantic context with environmental elements, like for example sports scores on TV during a match. With the help of advanced AR technology (e.g. adding computer vision and object recognition) the information about the surrounding real world of the user becomes interactive and digitally usable. Artificial information about the environment and the objects in it can be stored and retrieved as an information layer on top of the real world view.
For the non-techie…
It is a visual and voice recognition software that lets you take a picture of a company logo or say they name of a company. The software will then give you several options of finding local retailers or locations, offer you discounts or take you to the that company’s website.
Let’s use two practical examples.
1) You’re on a long road trip and the kids want McDonalds. Just hit the Getfugu ® app on your phone and say “McDonalds”. Using your current location it will show you where the nearest location is and even provide a map. I actually used this on a recent trip. Instead of fumbling around with my GPS unit and typing in the words and risking an accident, I simply spoke it and it came up. Pretty cool.
2) Let’s say you’re watching TV and an ad comes on. You think the product is pretty good. Simply take a picture of the logo on your TV and search it with the GetFugu app. It will give you several options including retailers, locations, company’s website and more.
So, from a consumer’s standpoint, we like it. From a “prospector” standpoint we see some possible really big news in the future.
Here are a few things to look for and research on your own.
1) They have begun the process of “re-incorporating” in Delaware. The stated reasons are a bit vague, but we smell something in the plans.
2) They recently were involved in an investment / marketing agreement with Spongetech ® that went bad. Lawsuits and legal claims started flying. It appears that SPNG may be heading for delisting from the OTC. They have failed to file their 10k by the 16th as required by the SEC and their new auditors have resigned. While bad news for SPNG, this is good news for GFGU.
3) They are about to release their software for the Blackberry. When this hits we expect a good size rally. Remember anything new usually droves a spike.
4) GetFugu ® seems just ripe for a big partnership or marketing launch; with whom we have no clue, but it just seems ready.
Do your own research and play with the app. Try it on some of your favorite companies and think of the possibilities. We think you’ll agree that sometime in the near future someone, somewhere will see this as a great partnership.
